Truecaller has released an update for Android users that includes group voice calling, Smart SMS, and Inbox Cleaner, among other things.
According to the corporation, these additional features were added in response to consumer input. Smart SMS uses an integrated algorithm to filter out spam, categorize useful information, and remind you of payments, whereas Group Phone Calls allows you to make cross-border voice calls with up to eight people at once.
Finally, the new Inbox Cleaner tool allows users to clear up space on their phone by deleting messages that are no longer needed.
Truecaller will also help identify spam individuals in a group voice call if they were added without the user’s knowledge.
Users will be able to join a voice call even if they haven’t added them to their phonebook.
Each participant’s city will be displayed in the app, as well as whether another person is on another call or unavailable.
Truecaller claims that symmetric encryption is used to safeguard all group voice calls.
The functionality also includes a dial back option from call logs, making it simple to control the group when calling back.
Truecaller will get a new feature called Smart SMS, which will assist in identifying and filtering spam, categorizing essential information, and even alerting you of due payments.
Users in India, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa will be able to access this functionality. It will be available in Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sweden, and the United States in the near future.
Finally, Truecaller will gain a new Inbox Cleaner to enable users quickly delete all of their old, unwanted texts.
From the menu, select Inbox Cleaner to see how many old OTPs and spam SMS you’ve gathered, and then hit the ‘clean up’ button to swiftly and effectively delete old SMS without harming your vital data.
Android users can view the changes by updating to the newest version from the Google Play store.
