Just few months after LG unexpectedly pulled out of the smartphone business, the company is now announcing it’s intention to shutdown it’s payment service.
The LG payment service was first launched in 2017 to rival Google and Samsung’s payment apps and In 2018, the service was brought down to newer mid-range devices but it was until the mid summer of 2019 that the payment service was launch in the Unites States with support for magnetic stripe terminals.
However, the home appliances and former phone tech company has come out to say that it’s closing down it’s payment service globally which was earlier rolled out for its own smartphones before folding up. This notice was earlier published on the company’s official payment service website.

The expected date for LG to terminate its Payment service is yet to unvail as the tech company never stated this in the official announcement meanwhile, users already using LG Pay can always switch to Google Pay on their LG mobile device.
