The iPhone SE was released in 2020, and it is Apple’s attempt to create a “cheap” iPhone.
It was a fairly simple iPhone with a design that looks more of that of the iPhone 8, therefore it sufficed for individuals who didn’t want the most up-to-date hardware.
However, if you really want the iPhone SE, you might want to wait until 2022.
This is because, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, another iPhone SE will be released in 2022, but this one will support 5G.
Last year, the iPhone SE was released ahead of the iPhone 12 series, which were the first iPhones to support 5G.
If Kuo’s prediction is correct, the 2022 iPhone SE might be the cheapest 5G iPhone ever, making it a worthwhile investment for consumers who prioritize connectivity speeds.
In terms of the phone’s specifications, we’re not sure what to expect, but given that this is the iPhone SE, don’t hold your breath.
There were reports that Apple might release a larger iPhone SE Plus, but we haven’t heard anything since, implying that the device has either been cancelled or Apple has gotten better at sealing leaks.
