Recent app updates to Spotify have disrupted the music library tab such that its hides already saved songs for offline listening from the music library. With this major bug, users will have to resave songs they have previously saved for offline listening all over again.
Some of the app users laid a complaint this week where playlists are disappearing from the library tab. As SmarttechVilla also observed this in one our reporters Spotify app as well as on the recent reviews of Spotify on the Google Play Store.
According to official Spotify Support account on Twitter, in a reply to the complaint laid down about the disturbing issue on the Spotify official account on twitter says
Hey, we're sorry to hear that. We'll pass your feedback on to the right folks. As for your issue with your downloaded playlists, the relevant team is working on a fix. If there's anything else we can help you with in the meantime, let us know /RM— SpotifyCares (@SpotifyCares) June 1, 2021
However, on a brighter note, the issue seems to be affecting minor users. Moreover, the music streaming platform is well aware of the issue and has stated to have had their team look into it and have it fixed. Though It’s not certain yet whether the fix will further require users to update their Spotify app again or it could be a server-side reset.
Meanwhile, all affected Spotify users on Android should start seeing downloaded playlists back on their library tab.
In the meantime, the only fix is to manually search for playlists and songs that you’ve previously downloaded instead of accessing them through the tab also too, all recently-played collections may also appear on the home tab.
