For quite some time now Apple has centered its attention on running ads promotion that offers a free one-year trial of Apple TV+ to customers with iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch purchase. The promotion is expected to end on June 30, However the company today updated its website to showcasing that starting July 1 the included free trial offer will be limited to three months before billing starting from the day day of sign up and this can only be done with eligible devices.
Meanwhile, the company has frequently offered promotional offer or credit for all its users to stay active to the relatively new service. Since its launch in 2019, Apple has continued to expand its Tv+ service into a more mainstream streaming service; though, it still has a long way to go before meeting up with Netflix and other popular streaming service.
Apple also offers original shows such as “Ted Lasso,” “The Morning Show,” and “See” on the TV+ platform but the new three-month trial will go into effect from July 1, therefore customers wanting to maximize their free Apple TV+ subscription should purchase their subscription before the start of July next month. Noting that devices subscribed to the service before the due date will still be eligible for one-year free trial.
The offer of a generous year-long free trial for Apple TV+ has been an important part of Apple’s strategy to lure it customers into a long-term service by giving unfettered access to the full services and content. The Apple TV+ though launched with a small amount of content compared with other rival services, but has been very crucial for the company to buildup a goodwill for the masses as well as interest in the service’s shows without expecting immediate returns.
