A recent circulating notice suggests that Apple will announce the third-generation AirPods aswell as the recently rumored HiFi, or high-fidelity Apple Music tier, coming week on Tuesday.
The update came from Apple’s YouTuber Luke Miani who shared the alleged news with Apple Track website. In addition, Apple intended to roll out the next-generation AirPods through a Newsroom update and website refresh.
The YouTuber, also added that new AirPods could be announced on that same day via the press release that could also include a ‘Apple Music HiFi’ debut.
However, In 2019 Apple rolled out the all-new AirPods Pro on a press release via its website, but the new AirPods are expected to feature a new interface design that’s more in-line with the design of the AirPods Pro but lacking in “Pro” features such as Active Noise Cancellation.
The 3rd gen AirPods will be the first unique update of the standard AirPods following a slight refresh in 2019 which featured wireless charging, Siri support, and improved battery life. Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated the new AirPods would be at mass production in the third half of 2021.
Meanwhile, inline with the new AirPods release, Apple intends to debut a new HiFi or high-fidelity Apple Music tier, according to the publication. Recall, a report earlier this month suggested that the tech company intends to begin its music offering to subscribers high quality streaming with a new subscription option.
The report also outlined the tier will cost the same $9.99 as the current individual Apple Music package though, specifics around how Apple plans to include HiFi music streaming into its existing tiers remain unknown.
It is worthwhile to note that the HiFi Apple Music streaming could only be limited to compatible device hardware.
